Austin Scarlett Bridal, Fall 2015

Project Runway All-Star, Austin Scarlett, presented his Fall 2015 Bridal collection and BPR Field Reporter, Jennifer Mara sends us this report.  Thanks Jen!

Sunday morning at Grand Central Station I'm excited and about to walk into the Austin Scarlett Bridal Show for Fall 2015. Austin knows elegant while also taking fun and comfort into consideration. An array of rotating models told me so as I watched them easily move with a grace and a personality that was illuminated by each dress.

The dress presentation was in the clear style of a Scarlett show- with a great big nod to Gone With the Wind...his all time favorite. The first time Austin watched Gone With The Wind he was twelve years old and he watched it straight through, "so now that I am somewhat a part of it, -this is a dream come true for me and it's like coming full circle because it (Gone With the Wind) was my ultimate. That first time I watched it, I was like This. Is. It."

BPR Visits Austin Scarlett's Studio

Project Runway All-Star Designer, Austin Scarlett graciously invited BPR Reporter, Jennifer Mara into his New York Studio and Jen sends this report - thank you Austin and Jennifer for a look into Austin's design process and creative space!

Austin Scarlett is the epitome of glamorous fashion. I felt great knowing that I could show up in nearly anything I felt like wearing - after some consideration, I went with my seemingly appropriate ‘something blue’-leather boots.

Hangin’ out in the Austin Scarlett workspace I learned a lot about the process of wedding gown creation, Austin’s creative process and all of his newest endeavors but the cherry on top was that I actually got to try on an Austin Scarlett original...more on that later.

All dresses designed by Austin begin in this studio and the first design of each style begins here.  Any and all beads and embroidery are hand designed then created. If you are buying an Austin Scarlett gown it is 100% made in New York City.

Austin Scarlett, Spring 2014

Project Runway All-Star Austin Scarlett presented his Spring 2014 collection today and field reporter Jennifer Mara was there and send us this report - thanks Jen!

For breakfast, this morning Austin Scarlett ate a cinnamon bun with coffee, (yes, I asked) and then went to preview his Spring Bridal Collection at the Essex House overlooking Central Park South, in New York City.

Refreshingly, Austin Scarlett is who he is, Chic, Elegant and Glamorous and it is quite evident whenever you are attending one of his events.

In a regal corner suite, Austin debuted his dresses and within the intimate setting he commented on each piece and also took a few questions.

Austin Scarlett premiered his signature collection at the NY Armory on the upper east side on Sunday during brunch in NYC. Each couture piece was a classic silhouette inspired by the 30's, 40's, and 50's, Austin says these silhouettes are the true to a woman's figure.

His mission in creating this line was to celebrate the sheer joy of a woman because that is what he wants to offer his customer. Guests at Austin's show saw hand-painted silks and ballgowns not only for a wedding but for any occasion.

For this collection Scarlett referred to creative spaces like museums - and as far as inspiration -a lot of his free spirit comes from his mother, who is doing great!!!

For all those readers who have been asking Austin says Thank you!
